Red Light Therapy – red lamp phototherapy,

In addition to biohackers and health-conscious people, active and recreational athletes also like to use the red light therapy before and after training. Good for muscles, joints and tissues. It is good for mood, sleep, refreshes, relaxes, recharges: it simply brightens our daily life.

The application of red light lamps all over the body gives the true red light experience: it offers a wonderful feeling of comfort. The larger a red light panel is, the more body surface area we can illuminate with it, the more light energy our body can absorb, which offers a more intense red light experience.

Use it in the morning to brighten your body if you missed the sunrise, it provides pleasant refreshment and relaxation – with a glowing appearance. Starting the day with red light renews the soul. Furthermore, you can create a particularly pleasant atmosphere in the evening by positioning our red light panel from further away, to the side or behind your back, to illuminate the space (not pointed at ourselves). In this way, the sensation of the setting sun, which calms and prepares our body for rest and sleep, is secretly introduced within the closed walls of our home.

More about light therapy

Photobiomodulation

In the integrated vision of well-being and prevention, every active support for our well-being, which has no side effects but only benefits, is a measure to be used, where cells and the nervous system are modulated and stimulated towards natural regeneration, the #vivicircadian pulsates , for this reason I decided to purchase this tool, the red light for photo biomodulation which can really be a valid support in the person’s well-being

What is it about?

Red light therapy, also known as low-level laser therapy and photobiomodulation, is a therapeutic technique that uses wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to treat skin problems, such as wrinkles, scars, and persistent wounds, as well as other conditions such as joint, tendon and muscle pain and many others.

In the early 1990s, red light was used by scientists to help plants grow in space. Scientists found that the bright light from red light-emitting diodes (LEDs) helped promote the growth and photosynthesis of plant cells.

Red light was then studied for its potential application in medicine, more specifically to find out whether red light can increase energy within human cells. The researchers found that it was an effective way to treat muscle atrophy, slow wound healing, and bone density problems caused by weightlessness during space travel.

How does red light therapy work?

Red light produces a biochemical effect in cells that strengthens mitochondria. Mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell – it is where the cell’s energy is created. The energy-transporting molecule found in the cells of all living things is called ATP (adenosine triphosphate).

By increasing the function of mitochondria with red light therapy, a cell can make more ATP. With more energy, cells can function more efficiently, regenerate and repair damage.

How is red light therapy used?

Since the first experiments in space, there have been hundreds of clinical trials and thousands of laboratory studies conducted to determine what other medical benefits might result from red light therapy.

What are the benefits of red light therapy?

Currently, there is a lot of evidence to suggest that red light therapy has the following benefits:

  • – promotes wound healing and tissue repair
  • – improves hair growth in people with androgenetic alopecia
  • – beneficial for the short-term treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome
  • – stimulates the healing of slow healing wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers
  • – short-term relief from pain and morning stiffness in people with rheumatoid arthritis
  • – reduces some of the side effects of oncological treatments, including oral mucositis
  • – improves skin complexion and builds collagen to diminish wrinkles
  • – helps repair damage caused by the sun
  • – prevents recurrent cold sores from herpes simplex virus infections
  • – improves joint health in people with degenerative knee osteoarthritis
  • – helps reduce scars, including acne scars
  • – relieves pain and inflammation in people with Achilles tendon and tennis elbow pain.

How safe is red light therapy?

Red light therapy is considered perfectly safe and painless, there are no known side effects.

However, there is a potential risk of eye damage. Although it is safer for the eyes than traditional lasers, you should always use adequate eye protection during red light therapy, especially when exposing your face at close range.

What do different wavelengths do?

THE WAVELENGTH 850NM (NEARLY INFRARED LIGHT)

The wavelength of 850 nm is typical of the near-infrared or infrared A spectrum.

. In many cases, the 850nm wavelength amplifies the advantages offered by the 810nm and 830nm wavelengths.

This wavelength has a range of therapeutic applications such as:

Anti-inflammatory benefits:

850nm wavelengths can help reduce joint and muscle pain and decrease overall inflammation in the body.

Improved muscle recovery:

One study looked at the use of 850 nm wavelengths on athletes and found that the use of near-infrared light increased muscle mass after training and decreased inflammation and oxidative stress in muscle biopsies.

Healing of wounds in the skin:

Skin lesions heal faster when exposed to 850 nm wavelength light therapy.

Reduction of wrinkles and hyperpigmentation:

850nm can support collagen production, making skin firmer, more radiant and more even in texture.

Orthodontics and teeth alignment:

The use of the 850 nm wavelength can promote rapid tooth realignment for patients undergoing orthodontics.

Red Light Therapy – red lamp phototherapy,

THE WAVELENGTH OF 830NM (NEARLY INFRARED LIGHT)

The 830 nm wavelength is not as easily absorbed by the body, so it is able to penetrate deeper through skin and tissue and into bone. A greater quantity of photons is delivered into the tissue with the wavelength of 830nm.

The incorporation of the 830nm wavelength offers the following advantages:

Accelerated healing and reduced infection:

Like the 810nm wavelength, 830nm accelerates healing in wounds of varying severity and helps prevent infections.

Better cosmetic results after plastic surgery:

Rapid exposure to 830nm wavelengths after cosmetic surgery accelerates recovery, reduces downtime and improves surgery outcomes by reducing swelling, infections, bruising and pain, thus leading to greater patient satisfaction.

Increased feel-good endorphins:

830 nm wavelengths increase the release of endorphins. Endorphins are peptides that promote feelings of well-being and provide a natural pain reliever, triggering a morphine-like sensation.

Improves bone repair and growth:

An animal study showed that 830nm light therapy improved bone repair by stimulating the growth of new bones.

Faster return to sports practice after an injury:

The ability to return to both competitive and recreational sports as quickly as possible after injury or trauma is a key concern for any amateur or professional athlete.

830nm LED light therapy has been shown to significantly and safely reduce the wait time before injured athletes can return to play.

THE WAVELENGTH 810NM (NEARLY INFRARED LIGHT)

With the ability to extend through the skull into the brain, the 810 nm wavelength offers a unique set of neurological benefits. Many forward-thinking scientists are convinced that light therapy for brain disorders will become a leading medical treatment in the near future.

Here are the benefits of the 810nm wavelength:

Improved healing and recovery:

A study on footballers demonstrated that 810nm wavelength applied before activity improved muscle performance and post-exercise recovery.

Accelerated wound healing:

The 810nm wavelength has been shown to help accelerate wound healing by helping the tissue to granulate more quickly.

Better recovery from stroke in some patients:

A study conducted among stroke patients demonstrated that 810 nm wavelengths provided neuroprotective benefits and improved recovery in patients with moderate to severe stroke. Five days after the stroke there was a significant improvement in those who had been treated with 810nm light therapy, compared to those who had not. 90 days after the stroke, 70% of treated patients had a positive outcome, compared to only 51% of the control group.

Improving Recovery from Traumatic Brain Injury:

810nm has been shown to be particularly effective in animal models in promoting recovery from traumatic brain injury and reducing long-term neurological damage.

Improvement of psychiatric disorders:

Prescription drugs for psychiatric conditions have long been recognized as having a limited ability to assist people with psychiatric conditions. Additionally, psychiatric drugs often cause a variety of unwanted side effects, while near-infrared light therapy does not. 810 nm wavelengths applied to the forehead have been shown to help patients with major depression and anxiety.

Hair Growth:

Studies have shown that the 810nm wavelength can promote significant hair growth in patients suffering from androgenetic alopecia.

THE WAVELENGTH OF 660NM (RED LIGHT)

There is an abundance of literature describing the advantages offered by the 660 nm wavelength. Penetrating just a little further than the 630nm wavelength, 660nm reaches the entire skin tissue where it promotes healing and regeneration.

Some of its different benefits include:

Reduced training fatigue:

The 660nm wavelength combined with the near-infrared length of 830nm has been shown to delay the development of muscle fatigue and improve muscle performance. (Athletes, take note!).

Reduction of inflammation:

In a study investigating the effects of red light therapy on pleurisy, the 660nm wavelength was found to induce an anti-inflammatory effect.

Improved bone healing:

The 660nm wavelength promotes the resorption and formation of bone cells around the point where repair is needed, without causing any changes in the bone structure.

Reduces swelling following injuries:

In one study, the 660 nm wavelength was found to be able to reduce both inflammation and swelling by reducing the number of inflammatory cells that lead to swelling.

Reduces neuropathic pain:

A study investigating sciatic nerve pain in rats found that the 660 nm wavelength significantly helped reduce pain.

Faster wound healing:

The 660nm wavelength has been shown to increase the formation of new blood vessels and enhance collagen deposition to promote wound healing.

THE WAVELENGTH OF 630 NM (RED LIGHT)

The 630nm wavelength is ideal for addressing all types of skin problems. The 630nm wavelengths penetrate skin cells and sebaceous glands to rejuvenate skin tone and texture, smoothing and evening out uneven pigmentation. This wavelength also helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and can stimulate hair regrowth.

The 630 nm wavelength offers the following advantages:

Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles:

In one study, the 630 nm wavelength was combined with other beauty treatments such as microneedling to create a statistically significant improvement in photodamage, fine lines and sagging.

An improvement in skin disorders such as psoriasis:

One study showed that the use of 630 nm wavelength used in combination with hematoporphyrin derivative (HPD) helped eradicate symptoms associated with psoriasis within 17 days.

Hair regrowth:

Red light therapy containing the 630 nm wavelength has proven to be a safe and effective method for stimulating hair growth in both men and women. One study hypothesized that light stimulated stem cells in the hair follicle, encouraging the hair follicle into an anagen, or growth, phase.

Healing of superficial skin tumors:

Wavelengths of 630 nm have been shown to help in the treatment of skin cancers (non-melanoma).

Acne treatment:

The 630 nm wavelength has been shown to reduce inflammation and the formation of new lesions.
